“…Across the gazebo, their audience had grown. The original couple had been joined by two more figures who stood in the shadows, drawn—no doubt—by Emma’s unrestrained cry of pleasure. Their presence only heightened the experience, turning what was already extraordinary into something transcendent…”
Emma has never liked the limelight, has never yearned to be the centre of attention. So simply attending this pool party is a struggle for her. She’s uneasy about so many people seeing her in a bikini—strangers, friends… Lucas.
The mere thought of being so exposed in front of her crush sends shivers down her spine, but—urged on by her extrovert friend Violet and a bit of Dutch courage—she’s determined to put on a brave face. And when Lucas does appear, he pushes her even further.
What starts merely as embarrassment over her attire soon escalates when a wardrobe malfunction and some risqué party games bring her closer to Lucas than she could ever have dreamed possible. And, with his encouragement, Emma’s mortification begins to lessen, begins to transform into something else entirely. Could it possibly be that she is learning to enjoy her public exposure?
An answer to that question is soon demanded when Lucas proposes a daring act—that the pair throw caution to the wind and streak around the pool together. Filled with adrenaline and a newfound feeling of closeness, neither Emma nor Lucas can bring themselves to leave things at just that. But when they realise their final private moment isn’t as private as they thought, will Emma be able to pass her final test? Will she be able to bare not just her body, but her very soul? Will she be able to consummate her connection to Lucas in front of such a rapt audience?
Dared to Bare at the Party is a 17,000 word erotic short story and Book VII of the Public Liaisons Series.
